walkable walls possible?

walkable walls possible?

it it possible to make walkable walls? as in i have found a map on warcraft 3 campaigns here:http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=88389 and i want to make a wall thats a unit not a doodad that does that same thing is it possible?
and i would also want to know how to make the stairs found there...
on another note...
i dont understand pathing maps i have tried making one and it didn't work... it was the right dimentions but it was a gate and when open still was not walkable... any help on either of these questions gimme a wisp!

It must be a doodad to work properly, because units can't have pathing heights.
(Doodads can be walked on. Units can only be walked through.)

That stair was made in gmax, the process is called "Modelling". Takes a while to learn, boxy shapes are easy, start with cubes and prisms.

And read a tutorial on pathing maps.

i know what gmax is ok? i know how to model to!

Export the model from the map, look at it in gmax.

The TGA must not be compressed, and the encoding should be 24bit.

k thanks! <i found the problem with my pathing map> it was that i had it on some wiered setting that changed the hue so it was a different shade of what ever color i wanted thanks again! oh and can you use blp's as pathing maps?

No, pathing maps must be TGA. Files inside maps are compressed anyway.
