Charge Channel Spell

I'm making a new map, one of the skills is based on Dota Ezalor's 1st skill, I based it off with Channel and have 2 triggers

Holy Strike - Channel
1st skill
Last [3, 5, 7, 9, 11] seconds to channel
every second channeled increases damage by 100
or every half-second channeled increases damage by 50
stuns [0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5] seconds after finishes channel
cost [100, 125, 150, 175, 200] mana

about the model: It was downloaded from HiveWorkshop, I think this skill would suit that model, add that slam effect after it starts releasing the energy, stuns enemy units around him

Problems:
Sometimes the skill won't trigger

I have a fixed a few problems:
damage will now base on time channeled for that spell
sometimes will cast twice without channeling
will check if your already casting the spells, avoids the damage changing when you start the effect

I only wanted to know how to add an "Off" button so you just press that button and stop the channeling, and a way to optimize the triggers, i don't even understand what i am doing......

Is this spell even counted as a "Charge"-ing spell/ability?
