Help Revamp an old Map "War of the 12 Kingdoms"

About the map: 12 players start off with a kingdom, units and a hero. The gameplay is a freeplay where u run around the map attacking other players and receive bounty with every kill. You can "upgrade" your units with enough gold that spawn every 2 minutes. To acheive victory you must defeat all opposing players.

Why Revamp it? This game to me at least can be very unique, the map is still played on roc but is outdated with the systems nowadays, spells, terrain, and much more from recent maps. I'm hoping to attract an audience who likes to play strategic maps, the challenge to outmicro others, and many old disappointed fans who have wished for years for it to be revamped!

As said before, the map is already playable and will only be an edit of improvement. So dont feel your time will be consumed by helping and adding your own spin to the map!

What we are possibly considering and need help on at the moment:
  • adding a better hero choice system allowing each player to select their own spells. (This will open the doors for new spells for the maps own uniqueness as long with the players to micro with the spells they please)
  • having the computer AI act as a player for more action in the game.

There is surely a tutorial on the internet that explains how to create that spell selection system. Google is your friend.

AI programming is not for the faint of heart. The best you can do is having the AI attack-move into a random player. (feeding)
