So I wanted to add in some sounds, but I cant find any of the sound files online, so I decided to record some of my own, trouble is it saves the sound file as WMA and I cant convert the file as it's encrypted, I also cant import the sound file into the map editor because the editor doesn't support WMA, anyway you could help? If not, well its not the end of the world. Oh, the sound files I wanted to get are ones of Warhammer 40k, the Orks war cry 'WAAAGH" and the Imperial Guard's cry "For the emperor!!" and things like that.

I suggest using mp3, but wav is also supported.

Windows sound recorder saves to wav by default, not sure how you ended up with wma. Scratch that, it was only in XP. Now it forces you to use wma. Lame.

Alternatively, get Audacity. Professional sound recorder and editor for free.

"Audacity is free, open source, cross-platform software for recording and editing sounds."

Cool, thanks.

Crap its 19.8 mgb, I'd better not download it as I'll have my dad pissed of at me, maybe some other time if I update my map.

What the f, are you on dialup? It takes 3-5 seconds to download audacity on anything faster.

I have broadband, but see, the wonderful internet providers of New Zealand have data caps thrown on the internet.

If you have a 10 GB data cap, you can download Audacity 512 times before going over the cap.

(10 * 1 024) / 20 = 512

You can still download it 173 times then.

((20 - 16.61) * 1 024) / 20 = 173.56800

Omg fine!

Well..... I cant even record the sounds off of the game, even though I have the game going at full blast, volume maxed, everything, all I hear is my mouse clicks o.o

And I cant make myself sound right, ah fuck it, I'll just scratch that part.

Why would you record the game through your microphone? Bad quality sounds are worse than no sound at all.

Read the tutorials. Use "Stereo Mix" for recording.

Or just extract the sounds from the game. Many websites have instructions.
