Yeah. But still, I suggest that you keep trying to master the Search utility as it is very important and useful. And you'll feel good when you finally find the Maps\Download folder. And have yet another reason for hating vista. :)

EDIT: Don't forget to tell the search tool to look in system folders and hidden folders too! Most of the subfolders in C:\Users are hidden to prevent the average people from messing with system-critical files, like Warcraft 3 maps. (Yeah, that was sarcasm.)

By the way I'm now starting to like Windows 7, except I can't afford to pay $319.99 for an OS that doesn't even do my laundry. So I'm staying with XP until Microsoft gives me a free Win7. (Yes, they will do exactly that.)

EDIT: No, getting it illegally is not an option. I buy all my important software like Operating Systems for legal WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage), Microsoft Office for legal Office Service Packs, Microsoft Visual Studio for programming legally, StarCraft2 for selling my maps legally, etc...

hahaaha i got my win 7 cheap xD about $15 in total including postage... i love win 7 its awsome... also dude having trouble with vista OMG how could u i mastered the basics in vista in about a day i new where all the files got sent and all... well enjoy

Back to the Search thing....

the files might be stored in:

Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\Download

Dont copy past it but look in program files for warcraft III

Found a solution. Its here.

Try clicking the "Compatability Files" button while in the wc3 folder. You will be taken to Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Warcraft III\(Maps\Download\)
