Civilization 5 Gods and Kings Q&A

I'll start it off with:
"What is the point of automatic faith purchase?"
I much rather buy them manually, so they spawn in the right city, not across the ocean or at the other end of the world.

Why can you capture enemy missionaries if everything they do for you is undesirable? They continue to spread your opponent's religion after their conversion, and will cost 4 gold per turn to upkeep.
...until you delete them next turn, that is.
The only reason to capture any religious unit is if it happens to be a Great prophet with all 4 of its uses remaining, to build a holy site. Quite rare.
Also, when a missionary embarks, it is practically invincible at sea; you can't attack it using melee ships. So park embarked missionaries in your naval cities' harbor entrances and they won't be attackable from sea.
