This is strategy for the upcoming game, [[Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms]]. The game is currently in alpha test, so things might change, rapidly.
What's your best formation? Is it optimized for DPS?
Note: Based on your items (equipment / gear), some champions might be better to use than what is said here. Basic guideline is — if you have 3 epic or better items on a DPS champion, use that as your main fighter.
Spoiler warning: Half the fun in these kinds of games is figuring out the best formation for yourself. If you read this guide, you will deprive yourself of the mathematical enjoyment of analyzing formation ability overlaps and permuting DPS layouts. (And also be subject to any mistakes contained within.)
According to in-game chat, the following layout (from front to back, bottom to top) is the best:
Tyril (closest to enemies) Nayeli, Delina Bruenor (bottom), Minsc (middle), Asharra (top) Calliope, Celeste makos (furthest from enemies)Another user suggests:
Tyril (closest to enemies) Nayeli (below), Celeste (above) Bruenor (bottom), Minsc (middle), Asharra (top) Asharra, Calliope makos (furthest from enemies)As a reference, here is the full list of all available champions (current as of 20:06, August 22, 2017 (UTC)):
