Which idiot coded this limitation into their system?
Has she ever seen a phone book outside her own village?
I hope they fix this as soon as possible. (Sent a bug report two days ago.)

I'm not buying the game if it doesn't let me.

Bad error message:
"Phone number must be 10 digits. Only numbers spaces -,(.)+ are allowed."

A better message would be:
"Phone numbers must be 7-12 digits long. Numbers, spaces, and some special characters: -,(.)+ are allowed."

Why do they allow all those special punctuation when the user is limited to 10 digits anyway? If I was to decorate my phone number it would be 25 characters long, not 10:
+ __ / __ - ___ - __ - __

And even in the most compact form it takes 12 characters: +___________

Update: Works if I set my country first.
But they are never going to be able to call me if they don't let me add "+" to the front of my number. (It is automatically stripped.)

Also, the flow of that form is not logical. Country needs to come before Telephone. Especially if phone number validation is different per country. Most people fill out forms in a top-to-bottom manner, ignoring the second column until the first is complete. Who does left-then-one-right-then-go-back-left-and-one-down-etc? It sounds silly even to say it.

And on a final note, the error messages really need some work. They are grammatically incorrect. See my note about it above (in the previous post).



Yes, I'm buying the VIP status. This game deserves my money, even after these problems. (Though they could communicate it more clearly that VIP status bought in beta extends to the released game as well. On the purchase page.)
