Here is how to fix GMail's false positive error. When you see this:
Virus warning - 1 attachment contains a virus. Downloading this attachment is disabled. Learn more

And the download button is disabled:

Simply right click → Inspect element → scroll up a few lines and find the link to docs.google.com. It looks like this:

Go there and now you can download:

p.s.: Yes, it was a false positive:

Actually the archive contained an exe. Google blocks all executable attachments. They don't bother with a virus scan at all. You could try emailing the cleanest ChromeSetup.exe (Google's own file) to a friend and it will not even send. And if the email WAS sent, years ago (before this check ruined gmail file sharing for us all) then now you cannot download it. Not from your inbox, nor from your sent items folder.
