Re: Maximum Size upload
I can see your confusion there...I_H8_U_M8 wrote:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I added the file size limit for a good reason and I'm not going to change it back to unlimited because:
My hosting plan is not infinite. I only have 1.5 gigabytes of storage to work with. That can fill up fast.
People were uploading huge files here that had no value. Three examples:
13MB - Turing Guitar Hero.zip
4MB - Guitar hero basic for 3ICE.w3x
3MB - Final Fantasy.zip
If you need a place to store your files, create a box.net account.
If you want to post on my forum about a big file you have created, upload it to box.net and post a link.
Example of how a shared box.net file looks like: http://www.box.net/shared/0bdsj9121n
The only change I am willing to commit is increasing the limit to 4 MB.
Re: Maximum Size upload
Omg wow
Why would I use your website when I can use another persons that uloads to over 15mb?
Get what I am saying.
You are really screwing your self I can't even upload my 'demo' of Final Fantasy here 5mb in size

Re: Maximum Size upload
This is exactly what I am saying: Use box.net (=an other person's website) and upload your files there. This will save space for me and give you full control over your uploaded files, which is a nice bonus too. Posting a link here, that points to the file uploaded at box.net is enough.I_H8_U_M8 wrote:I can use another person[']s [site] that [allows] u[p]loads to[*of] over 15mb
EDIT: You don't have to use my site if you don't like it. I work hard to make it as good and useful as possible, but I can't grant every wish. Unlimited uploads is one of those impossible wishes.
By the way if you really want to leave I can recommend you two great warcraft-related sites: wc3campaigns.net and hiveworkshop.com Check out other links on the left side at http://www.3ice.hu/index.php (External links section) too.
But still, I'd appreciate if you stayed.

Re: Maximum Size upload
Ugg I am already in Hiveworkshop, warcraft.org, compsci.ca,
But thats not the point.
Why don't you have more then 1 gb of space for uploading?
compsci has Lots more. There are over thousands of posts there.

Re: Maximum Size upload
1 thousand posts take up less than 1 megabyte of disk space. Your uploaded demo map would cost 5000+ posts' space.
By the way I could buy extra space at the price of: $20.29/year/Gb. Which - in my opinion - is not worth it.
EDIT: We currently have 533 posts. They take up 0.3 megabytes total:
